What Else Can I Do to Help?

Just asking a person with epilepsy what to do during and after a seizure will provide very useful information. Some person may simply want someone to sit with them; others may find it helpful to be talked to calmly. Still others may ask for a washcloth or tissue to wipe away any saliva that has come out of their mouths. Some persons may need to go to the bathroom after the seizure, so helping them to locate one can be very helpful. Others may want to lie down for a while.
